Summary: Three life long friends, torn apart by tragedy, are brought
together again through an emotional journey of forgiveness and
romance when they co-inherit a pub.
Synopsis: Pete Miller, Janet Sloan and Stan Winston attend the funeral
of their old friend Terry Owens, and see each other for the first time
since tragedy shattered their relationship seven years earlier. They
discover that Terry died "mysteriously" and bestowed his English-
style pub, "The Angel Inn" to them under the condition that all three
of them take equal ownership. Despite the initial shock of Terry's weird
offer, Pete, Janet and Stan each find reasons to accept.
Involved with each other's lives again, Pete and Janet struggle with the
romance that was once theirs. For Stan, the inheritance brings painful
memories to the surface which he tries to control by turning the "evil"
Angel Inn into something "good." He pursues this idea with tunnel-vision
energy, assuming that Pete and Janet will go along. But Pete discovers
that he likes running "The Angel Inn" and decides to make it permanent
while Janet makes plans to sell the pub to finance a new career. But
despite their best efforts to deny it, they all soon realize that their ugly
past still rules them.
